Formal debate, academic leadership, and a community that grows through diplomacy, dialogue, and collaboration.
Participate in 14 forums that address relevant national and international issues. Each delegate will research, debate, negotiate, and propose solutions in a formal academic environment.
The Secretariat organizes the conference and supports participants by solving doubts, addressing academic concerns, and helping with questions related to the forums, procedures, and overall event experience.
Meet delegates from different schools and backgrounds, discover new opportunities to network, share ideas, build alliances, and practice diplomacy in a meaningful academic setting.
Twelve councils spanning security, human rights, economics, crisis and the press — each led by a trained dais.
Everything you need to know before your first gavel. Still curious? Reach us via Contact.
CALMUN is the Cochabamba Cooperative School Model United Nations — a simulation where students step into the shoes of diplomats, represent countries in UN forums, and debate real global issues to craft resolutions.
Not at all. CALMUN welcomes first-timers and veterans. Our Secretariat shares study guides and runs preparatory guidance, and every forum is run by chairs trained to support new delegates.
Registration is handled entirely through our official external form. Head to the Inscription page, follow the five steps, and complete the form — the Secretariat will then confirm your forum assignment.
A position paper is a one-to-two page document outlining your country's stance on the forum topics. It's your first act of diplomacy — see the Position Papers page for the full guidelines, format and rubric.
Western business attire, your printed position paper, a notebook, and a laptop or tablet for resolution drafting. Placards, badges and materials are provided on site.
CALMUN offers 12 forums in Spanish and 2 forums in English, allowing delegates to participate according to the language of their assigned forum.
Chairs evaluate delegates based on their research, diplomacy, public speaking skills, and contribution to resolutions. Recognition includes Excellence Mention, First Honorable Mention, Second Honorable Mention, and Verbal Mentions.
Claim your country, prepare your stance, and take your seat at CALMUN 2026.
